...apparently does not get televised.

When I looked ahead and saw that the Cubs were playing their annual weekend in Las Vegas, I finally felt like Spring Training was real. What better way to spend a lazy Friday night than watching the Cubs play the White Sox, even if the game means absolutely nothing? I've watched the Vegas series on WGN the last several years, and it serves as a warning to my wife that she will be ignored until October. So I grab the remote, and lo and behold...WHERER MY VEGAS?!?!

Admittedly, I am a California transplant. I rely heavily on WGN, ESPN, and the MLB Network to see my Cubs games. For all I know, last night's game was broadcast on Comcast. Sure it was a simple exhibition, but I feel it is my God given right to enjoy the Cubs when I assume that they will be televised. Legend of the Seeker? Thank you, no. C'mon, the MLB Network couldn't show the game? Do they need to air the Ken Burns documentary that many times?

Is WGN cutting the number of games that they carry again this year? Criminal in my opinion, given the broad swath of Cub fans in this fair country.

The box score leads me to believe that the Friday night game was an exhibition for the ages. The Cubs finished with a "6", and the White Sox with a "5". The greater number "Wins" according to my copy of the Los Angeles Times. I gather that Mike Fontenot had a career game, given his "3" under "H", out of a possible "4" "AB"s. He and Josh Vitters each claimed a "2" in the "RBI" column. On the pitching side, Tom Gorzelanny still seems to be employed, garnering "4" under "SO", which I'm lead to believe is good considering he only had "3" "IP". Jay Jackson did not fair as well, allowing "3" of the "ER" and acquiring his first "BS" of the Spring.

"BS"? Yep, that about sums up my sentiments on the WGN front.
