Letters From Exile: Welcome to Our New Digs
Welcome to Exile on Clark Street, our new blogging venture.
Exile on Clark brings together writers from three Cubs blogs: Thunder Matt's Saloon, College of Idiots and Wasting Away in Wrigleyville. While TMS is officially done for good, COI and WAIW are both continuing on for the time being as we transition. So by all means continue reading them (and if you weren't reading them, it's high time you started).
For those of you familiar with Thunder Matt's, you'll probably be right at home here, as we plan on bringing you the same esoteric pop culture nonsense we were known for. But one big difference with Exile is that we'll ACTUALLY cover the Cubs with regularity as well, something the Saloon sort of gave up on long ago.
Exile on Clark Street.....Come for the Cubs posts, stay for the rambling posts about an obscure album that came out in 1979!
Starting this week will be our 2010 MLB Team Previews. All 30 teams will be covered by the Exile staff over the month of March and right up to Opening Day. Will they be insightful? Probably not. Will they offer great analysis? Doubtful. Will they be unbiased? Most definitely not. Will they be entertaining as hell? Hopefully*. Check them out and see for yourself.
All that and much more I can't tell you about right now, mainly because I really don't know what some of these bastards have planned. All I can say is that Exile will be the best Cubs blog you'll ever read. And by best I mean "least disappointing". There's no way we can be the best. I mean I'm enthused but not delusional. I just hope we have a good core of loyal readers and perhaps some of them actually comment every now and then. Our own writers can only comment under fake names for so long.
Be sure to bookmark us and tell your friends. Rockies in 6!
*at the very least we'll crack ourselves up.

I'm a TMS reader from waaaay back... pre-Scotch egg days, even. I'll miss the old digs, but look forward to some good stuff on ECS. Onward and upward, yo.
Best of luck guys, I've been reading since back when we thought Thunder would be a slugger, and you all need to just keep up the randomness. I love the Cubs, but even more I love a good drunk blog.
As a relatively new reader (Started last summer) I must say I couldn't wait to get home today to check out your new digs... Very nice. As J.Z. said, keep up the randomness. It's nice to have a sports blog that is able to be honest and original while not taking itself too seriously.
I'm so confused. . . but reading.. . but confused.
Looking forward to it, gents. I'll have to give a shout.
So you guys are going to keep us updated on Murton's home runs in Japan, right? RIGHT?!?!
So far so good..... Keep on truckin' Er I meant bloggin'
I'm sure we'll check in on Murton's adventure in Japan from time to time.
From what I've heard, after an earthquake due to atomic testing, Murton found a mystical amulet in a cave under the Hanshin Tigers' Stadium which allows him to grow into the beloved Giant Ginger Baseball Roboman, who battles any and all giant monsters that threaten his new home.
Also, he narrowly lost to Sakai in a recent episode of Iron Chef.
